Help, Please, with product selection

I am new to Cisco products and this site and am completely overwhelmed by the vastness of the selections and options offered here.

Just need someone to help bootstrap me here and I think I'll be fine.

I am looking for a 'box' , as inexpensive as possible, that will aggregate bandwidth from two [currently two, three in the future] different internet service providers and allow me to gateway my network internet traffic to all service providers simultaneously.

The idea is to both maximize bandwidth utilization AND, more importantly, provide transparent, failsafe fallover from any provider who goes down to the remaining up connection(s).

All connection ports would be ethernet (maybe 1 DS-1). Additional firewalling, though not mandatory, would be a plus.

Thanks in advance to any guidance you folks can give me.

Kindest Regards,

Ed Wood

PS - - Would Cisco call this a router, switcher, both, or something else???

Re: Help, Please, with product selection

Ed,

I would look at Cisco's 2611XM router. It has dual Fast Ethernet ports along with 2 WAN Interface Card (WIC) slots and 1 Network Module (NM) slot. Here is the link to the product information:

Hope this helps.

Josh
