Hi

Would suggest to go for 12.1(22)EA5 which is again the latest version available for this series switches..

It does supports the require MAC ACL functionaility in the swtich.

Do refer this link for more info on the same.

Re: Help with MAC ACLs on switches!!

Hello Visham,

I think you need the Enhanced Image (EI) to support named extended MAC access lists, and then at least IOS 12.1(6)EA2c. The following models are EI models:

Catalyst 2950G 48-48 10/100 ports and 2 Gigabit Interface Converter (GBIC)-based Gigabit Ethernet ports

Catalyst 2950G 24-24 10/100 ports and 2 GBIC ports

Catalyst 2950G 24-DC-24 10/100 ports, 2 GBIC ports, DC power

Catalyst 2950G 12-12 10/100 ports and 2 GBIC ports

Catalyst 2950T 24-24 10/100 ports and 2 fixed 10/100/1000BASE-T uplink ports

Catalyst 2950C 24-24 10/100 ports and 2 fixed 100BASE-FX uplink ports

HTH,

GP
