Hi Vivek, Wanted to know about CIR & Bursting ...

Hi Vivek,

I wanted to have a very clear Idea about the CIR & Bursting.

I want a Frame relay system in which I can assign CIR of 32 Kbps & have the capability to burst upto 64 Kbps, if bandwidth is available.

I am using 26XX & 36XX boxes.

I had tried with the boxes, & found that when I configure a CIR of 32 Kbps. I can't go above 32 Kbps (although the link of 128 Kbps). I am measuring the throughput by FTP (i.e. I m not getting ftp more than 32 Kbps). I tried playing with Be / Tc values but to no help.

Pl. tell if i m doing anything wrong.

Regards

Prakash

Hello

Cir is commited and setup by your provider, this means money to them

Bursting capacity is given to you by the grace of your provider
