HIGH CPU - 3620

Hello All:

Having an issue wiith high cpu utilization on a router that is sitting idle. Running around 20% constantly and spikes to 30%. This has no traffic on it at all as we are testing it before putting it in production.

sh process cpu shows IP input as the culprit consuming majority of cpu. I cannot understand this as no traffic is running on the router. Sho ver listed below. Any help appreciated.

cisco 3620 (R4700) processor (revision 0x81) with 59392K/6144K bytes of memory.

which IOS version are you running ? This might be a software bug.

you could have a look at you buffers since i have ran into a similar situation.Tuning the i/o buffers seemd to solve the problem for me.
