High CPU on ASA/PIX 7.0

Hi,

I have a ASA5510 that I run OSPF on, but the CPU is very high (40%) due to the OSPF process. When I disable OSPF, the CPU drops to 1%. Is there any way to optimize the OSPF process to decrease CPU load on an ASA?

Thanks,

Lee

There are 2 ways two ways that you could correct this issue. One is to set limits for RP processing on the CPU the second way to workaround this issue examine ospf table and look for ways to optimize rtr (or of course you could remove the faulty link from OSPF network until it stabilizes).
