High Queue Drop Rate

Please how do I find out which port is eperiencing a high queue drop rate on a Switch. This is the message I get

Interface HighQueueDropRate

IF-MSFC-10.11.12.73-16/17[VL22]

The number of packets discarded due to input or output queue overflow has exceeded its threshold.

Thanks

Re: High Queue Drop Rate

Do a show interface in the switch and look for this line under each interface

Output queue 0/40, 0 drops; input queue 0/75, 0 drops

Re: High Queue Drop Rate

This is what I get for vlan 22

Input queue: 0/75/1367214/49131887 (size/max/drops/flushes); Total output drops:0

But this still does not give me the port that is causing this high drop rate on the switch. I got the above from the MSFC.

How do I interprete - 16/17. Please I need to get the port on the switch giving this error

Thanks

Re: High Queue Drop Rate

Hi

Is there a resolution for this since we are also getting this message ?

InCharge Domain : DFM Interface IF-MSFC-AO-MCR1-SS-1-15/7 [Vl172] HighQueueDropRate - The number of packets discarded due to input or output queue overflow has exceeded its threshold.

Re: High Queue Drop Rate

Or at least, how do we change the threshold for the HighQueueDropRate setting?

Thanks.

Re: High Queue Drop Rate

If you have not already done so, try applying the IDU125 to the DFM - it has helped us here.
