High Runt Count on 6513 for Particular PC

Hi, We are currently seeing a High runt count from our 6513 Switch when we have a Desktop PC configured with a Realtek 8139 NIC installed with the lastest drivers for XP. There are no negotiation issues as both ends are setup correctly at 100/FULL. Also if we plug this device into one of our edge 3524 switches we get no errors/runts. I believe there maybe a configuration issue on our 6513. If someone could provide some info or if you require more information that would be great.

I suggest to try to enable auto-negoitation for speed and duplex to test it again. Otherwise, it may be a compatiblity issue.

It may be a silly suggestion, but please also try to replace the UTP cable and test again.

in addition to Jack's post, it might be worth checking for bugs. What IOS version are you running on your switch ?

IOS Version on the 3500's is Version 12.0(5)WC11

and on the 6500's is :

CATOS = Sw : 8.4(3)

IOS = 12.1(26)E1
