On a non-broadcast network, a DR is elected and the DR generates a network LSA for the network, just as in a broadcast network. On a point-to-multipoint network, there is no DR and no network LSA. Each connection over the point-to-multipoint network is treated as a point-to-point connection. A router on the point-to-multipoint network will include, in its router LSA, a link for a stub network with a link ID of the router's interface to the point-to-multipoint network . The link data will be a subnet mask of 255.255.255.255, indicating a host route. This host route will show up in the routing table.
