How can I configure three switches with four GBIC to get the maximum thrput

Dear alll,

I have one Catalyst 3550-48-EMI switch and two 2950G -48-EI switches.

I also have four GBICs available.

I'd like to use 3550 for interVLAN routing and the others to expand the port density. What would be the best combination to get full-duplex maximum throughput.

I think a simple solution is to use the GBIC ports of the 2950 (1 for each) as your trunk uplink to the 3550. Since you have 4 GBICs, that should be enough to connect the 3 switches. You might also want to take a look at the "Cisco Catalyst Switching Solution Guide" from the link below:
