default, the 6506 has 32 G switching capability,

we know we can install the SFM to make more,

but how to improve to 256G, one SFM card is (256-32)224G?

or add the memories to improve ?

for exmaple : 64M-----64G?

please tell me?

Do you have Sup1a or a Sup2 in your 6506? SFM is supported only in Sup2 and you need fabric enabled linecards in your Cat6500 to acheive 256G switching bandwidth.

The following page should help you in understanding architecture

Also default DRAM on Supervisor Engine 2 is 128MB and can be upgraded to 256MB.
