How can I use virtual-profile an idle-timer

We are using virtual-profiles to assign access-lists via radius on a ISDN RAS connection.

We set the session idle-timer to 300.

When the connection is established I see two Timer ( "sh user" virtual-interface and serial-interface). When traffic is send over the link only the idle-timer of the virtual-interface is reset. The timer of the serial interface is untouched.

After 300 sec. the router disconnect the link.

We use a AS5200 with IOS 12.1.(11)

Re: How can I use virtual-profile an idle-timer

The virtual-access interface should be

the controlling interface for everything,

to include timers. I don't see any

relevant bugs for this behavior. You

might have a look at "debug vprofile",

"debug vtemp", "sh caller" and "sh

dialer" timers.
