How do I create a Console connection to a Cisco Router without serial port.

I have a laptop with no serial or com port. Does anyone know how to establish a console connection to a Cisco Router using a USB,PCMCIA or LPT ports.

I have a rollover cabe and a usb to Ethernet adapter but that doesn't seem to work. Any suggestions would be appresiated.

Thank You.

Elbows.

What you want is a USB to Serial Adapter, cost $12.00 - 45.00:

some vendors:

1.) Keyspan High Speed USB Serial Adapter USA-19QW

$33.00

2.) USB SERIAL ADAPTER DB-9 for Windows and MAC! ONLY $24.98

3.) USB to Serial (801)226-3794 List Price: $19.00

Do not load the drivers on a XP or 2000 box, just plug it in, open your HyperTerminal window as normal. I have had no problems with these items.

Thanks for the tip. I've bought one for £7.99 which I think is about $12. It seems to work OK. Your help was much appreciated, thank you.
