How do I enable built in copper port?

Out CAT4507 has Gigabit Ethernet module which has built in ethernet(10/100/1000) port and an optional fiber SFP port. I assuming I should be able to use either one of them. But somehow built in copper port doesn't come up. The optional SFP port comes up fine. What do I need to do to use the bulit in copper port? I tried removing SFP and booting but din't help.

Re: How do I enable built in copper port?

Hi,

Enter in the command 'media-type rj45' under the interface to enable the copper port ...

Hope that helps - pls rate the post if it does.

Paresh,

Thanks It worked.. I am surprised, I didn't have to do it for Copper SFP.

Yeah, the options are between using the built-in copper port and the SPF port. It does not really matter what type of SFP module you are using...
