How do I find the SNMP-OID for CAM-table of a Cat5k?

Which SNMP/OID commands do I use to get a list of all MAC addresses and corresponding ports (=> CAM Table - ident to "show cam dyn")

for a Catalyst 5500?

Re: How do I find the SNMP-OID for CAM-table of a Cat5k?

There is no specific CAM-MIB, but you should be able to obtain the entire CAM-table from a switch by looking at the following values:

  1. Vlan details:
  2. # vlan table from the CISCO-STACK MIB

    #"vlanIndex" "1.3.6.1.4.1.9.5.1.9.2.1.1"

  3. CAM Table Info:
  4. # CAM table from the BRIDGE MIB (RFC 1493)

    #"dot1dTpFdbPort" "1.3.6.1.2.1.17.4.3.1.2"

  5. Bridge -> ifIndex mapping:
  6. # Bridge port to ifIndex table from the BRIDGE MIB (RFC 1493)

    #"dot1dBasePortIfIndex" "1.3.6.1.2.1.17.1.4.1.2"

  7. Interface Name relative to the previous mapping:
  8. # ifName from the ifXTable from the IF MIB

    #"ifName" "1.3.6.1.2.1.31.1.1.1.1"
