I am looking into some remote site router upgrades and I cannot seem to find a way of determining whether the routers are 1603's or 1603R's. I have looked at a "sh ver" for the two different types of router and can't see any blatant differences. Any ideas?
Hi, the R is run from ram so with sh ver you will see mz in the image name ie c1600-y-mz.121-21.bin.
A non-R runs from flash like the 2500 so you would see l instead of mz, ie c1600-y-l.121-21.bin.
