I have a IDF with a single switch. A contract company put port grouping on a 2950. I want to install a 3550 24. I want to use the extra pair of fiber from the other switch. So I need to turn off the port grouping on the 2950 and cat 6009. Any suggestions?
I believe you are referring to etherchannel. By default, ports are not in a ether-channel. If you have it configured, you can issue a "no channel-group x" under the interface in your 3550/2950. If your 6009 is running CAT OS, you can issue "set port channel x/y off"
