How do I upgrade the IOS for a AS53000?

I thought I was doing it correctly, by changing the config-reg and then loading the IOS from the bootprompt. When I go back to the normal mode I have the right version IOS, but I lost all my modems and the 8 T1 controllers I have. However they show up in the sh config, but not the running config(Yes I've tried rebooting) also the bootflash hasn't changed. Do I need to change this also. Thanks for the help.

What IOS did you upgrade to ? What does show ver say now? If hope you did not upgrade to 12.0 mainline since you have the octal T1 card which requries T. And so do DMMs which I believe what you might have.

That is exactly what I did. Thanks for the info. Do you have any suggestions for an IOS that you use that works well. Thanks for the help.

I generally prefer 12.1(latest) mainline and 12.2(latest) mainline.
