How do you determine IP Precendence with WRED?

How can you determine which IP Precendence with WRED is of a critical nature? Is there a rule of thumb as to which is more critical?

Re: How do you determine IP Precendence with WRED?

IP precedence is represented by the 3 bit TOS value at layer 3,

there are 7 different precedence levels<0-7> Enter up to 4 precedence values separated by white-spaces

critical Match packets with critical precedence (5)

flash Match packets with flash precedence (3)

flash-override Match packets with flash override precedence (4)

immediate Match packets with immediate precedence (2)

internet Match packets with internetwork control precedence (6)

network Match packets with network control precedence (7)

priority Match packets with priority precedence (1)

routine Match packets with routine precedence (0)

WRED is a congestion avoidance mechanism, which is sensitvie to these values.

To answer your question, from 1 to 7, the higher precedence, the more critical.
