How many 2900XL switches can be daisy-chained to each other via fiber?

I am trying to find out what is the maximum amount of switches that can be daisy-chained to each other

via the fiber module. I know that the ethernet specification states that no more than three repeaters can be daisy-chained together, and that 1 repeater must not be populated.

Does this also apply for fiber?

Not applicable

Because the connections are full-duplex, there are limits to how many switches you can daisy-chain together.

The recommendation is to daisy-chain no more than 7 switches in any direction.

For example, you can have a hub switch each with a link to a chain of 6 switches each.
