How RTM works without probe?

If probe is not avialable, am I right to say that I need to import switches from CW2K then can view real-time info like how it works with a Probe ? Pls help, thanks.

For routers you must have a probe to use with RTM. For switches, without a probe, you cannot use the Data Capture in RTM and in Traffic Monitor can only see upto the Data Link Layer Graphs. For seeing Network/Application layer data, you need a probe connected.
