How the TFTP dnld works in C2600 series?

Is it true, that a file is TFTP downloaded first into RAM, then the supported platform is verified, checksum is verified and after that flash is erased (if needed)followed by the writing process?

Re: How the TFTP dnld works in C2600 series?

The tftpdnld would at the defaul erase the content in flash and copy

the image to flash , then decompress to DRAM for running.

If you do not want to erase flash or you'ld like to bypass flash

use the command "tftpdnld -r" where -r: do not write flash, load to DRAM only

and launch image.
