How to check if downloaded Cat OS image is corrupted or not

Hi there,

I've just downloaded a new Cat OS version for 5500 from CCO. When the download is finished we're given BSD checksum, Router checksum and MD5 key.

What is the way to check that the file has not been altered during the download?

Thanks for your help,

Pierre

There are 2 ways.

1) you can use the dir bootflash: all or dir slot0: all command. This command gives you a CRC that you can compare to the one on CCO.

2) you can use the verify command to check the software integrity.
