how to clear "show counter interface ..." counters in IOS 12.1(13)E

Under IOS 12.1(13)E, one can view the detailed interface counter using the command, for example :

show counter interface gigabitEthernet 10/7

It comes up with detailed counters in hexadecimal format. I need to know, if there is way, to clear these counters.

However, this will only clear counter seen under "show interface gigabitEthernet 10/7" command and it will not clear the counter seen under "show counter interface gigabitEthernet 10/7".

I am looking for the latter one to be cleared.

Reboot the line card (not the supervisor card).

i was hoping for a less drastic solution :-) , that line card is in production. thanks anyway for feedback
