We have a 1720 router with 1 BRI port both channel (128k) running with PPP multilink command. We would like to raise the bandwidth and install additional BRI port and possibly combined them all to have 256K.
We do not have the luxury of spare ISDN line and obviously we can't test it prior to the installation. Does anyone out there already done this kind of configuration?
I actually thinking that the only thing I need to do is make the second BRI port available for the dialer interface by making them as member of the dialer-group but as I said, I cant test it.
You are right, we can bundle multiple BRI interfaces into a PPP multilink bundle using a dialer interface & binding the dialer interface to the physical interfaces using dialer rotary-group or dialer profiles.
This is actually a pretty cool feature, i didn't even know it existed until I was looking for a solution to advertise a subnet (prefix in BGP talk), only if a certain condition existed. This is exactly what conditional advertisements does
