Plug your PC's ethernet into port 1, turn on the switch and wait for it to boot.
Bring up the browser on our PC, the switch will "catch" and redirect the session to the configuration screen (a web page).
There is also a button on the right side you can press that will cause a port to blink (port one, I believe) ... smae thing: The PC connected to that port will be redirected to the config screen when you bring up a browser.
In addition to scott's post make sure that your PC is set to obtain ip address automatically. This will give you an IP 10.0.0.2. Using the Scott's procedure above try to configure it and if the browser doesnot pull up the page try using http://10.0.0.1
Once you are on the oage you have to put the ip address/subnet mask/gateway. Save the changes.
You can also use CNA (Cisco network Assistant) tool to manage CE500 once the IP settings are done.
This is actually a pretty cool feature, i didn't even know it existed until I was looking for a solution to advertise a subnet (prefix in BGP talk), only if a certain condition existed. This is exactly what conditional advertisements does
