How to configure E1 CAS with Nortel PABX in 3640 ?

I have a problem to configure 3640 to connect to Nortel PABX with E1 CAS.

But the engineer of Nortel tell me the CAS AB bit error. But I changed E1 card and the situation is the same. Could anyone have the experience for the issue or some configurations ?

The CAS on Nortel PBX is probably one which

plays only with A or AB bits.

You can try to use as signalling on the 36xx

router e&m or fxo/fxs type signalling.

For sure there is more specific information that

can be obtained from Nortel regarding the signalling

protocols that could help you to identify the correct

one!
