Was this PA-2H card working fine before? Looks like it needs a newer IOS. Can you paste the output of sh ver

http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/Support/Errordecoder/error_decoder.pl?index=ios&query=PA-2-UNDEFPA&counter=0&paging=5&links=reference&sa=Submit

Try the software advisor to determine what software version you need

http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/Support/CompNav/Index.pl?Introduction=True

This PA-2H working fine before. even have the UNDEFPA message, the PA-2H

still working fine.

Your bootstrap version 11.1(5) does not recognize the adapter while booting (which is ok) so it generates an error message. Your IOS 12.1(15) does not have any problems recogizing the card so it brings it up and it works fine.

If you want to get rid of the error message load a higher boot version of the IOS. This way you make sure that the card works even if the router just boots the bootstrap IOS.
