how to identify older version of cat2900xl

Is there anyone who knows if there is a way to identify the oldest, little bit wider version of the cat2900xl? The first switches that came out was maybe a quarter of an inch wider. Is there ANY command that can fix this or do I have to run and check all switches?

The original 2900's only had 4Mb of memory whilst the later versions had 8Mb, a Show Version will highlight this:

Original 2900XL:

cisco WS-C2924-XL (PowerPC403GA) processor (revision 0x11) with 8192K/1024K bytes of memory

Later 2900XL:

cisco WS-C2924-XL (PowerPC403GA) processor (revision 0x11) with 4096K/640K bytes of memory.
