I have "lost" the IOS from Flash, but at least it was backed up on a laptop/TFTP server. Now I can't find the proceedure to load the IOS.
Any help with a link to find the proceedure would be appreciated.

Cant say anything until you say the type of router you have.
You can find upgrading procedures about any Cisco router from the following link. You willhave to select the appropriate router model and search through Software configuration / Troubleshooting links.
