How to recognise the WS-X4232-L3 module in Catalyst 4006?

I have a Catalyst 4006 with a Catalyst 4000 Supervisor III.Now I insert a WS-X4232-L3 into the chassis ,but the L3-module did not be recogized.The switch image is cat4000-is-mz.121-12c.EW1.bin.Who can tell me the reason ane help me?Thanks.

The WS-X4232-L3 is not supported with IOS 12.1, please refer to the release notees for that IOS version.
