How to set the number of password retries

Hi,

I have a as5400, authenticating against a radius server. Where do I set the number of password retries? Also, can I prompt the user for their passoword. I tried the command aaa authentication password-prompt password: but it didn't work.

Thanks,

Darcy

Re: How to set the number of password retries

You need to use the command in Access Server to allow multiple authentication retry..So enter following command under the interface for PPP users

ppp max-bad-auth x

where x is number of retries...You can't use radius server for that..Are you looking to have multiple tries for EXEC users or PPP users???
