I'm in the process of re-designing our mail architecture. The box are for virus filtering for exchangeweb and SMTP. I need to have many boxs to handle my traffic(3 to 4). The McAfee anti-virus solution must run in a completely transparent bridge mode. I have many front-end mail server. The question is :
HOW DO I LOAD BALANCE TRANSPARENT HARDWARE???
I have CSS witch can handle the load balancing of the frontend, but the traffic must pass in the anti-virus box before they get to them. The one solution I can think of is using an ether-channel loop and two vlan and attach a box to each link.
