How to stop a discovery process ?

Does anyone know how to stop a discovery process and which log file to review the discovery errors ? Your input is appreciated.

There's no option in the GUI to stop it once running unless you toggle the processes.

I guess I have to clean up the db if I kill the process from the o/s end.
