How to tell what IP addresses are on other side of port

Gurus,

On my catalyst 3560's, how can I determine the IP addresses of the devices that are plugged into the ports of the switch?

Thank you!

Re: How to tell what IP addresses are on other side of port

Hi,

The easiest way is to look at the MAC address that is learned on a given port, and then cross reference that with the MAC portion of the ARP entry on the default gateway for that VLAN.

HTH,

Bobby
