we have 6509 with SUP2/PFCS/MSFC2, 2GE,48 ETH,
question 1: the 6509 can support the MPLS?
i want to update 6509 to 7609,and support MPLS
how to do?

Yes, the 6509 supports MPLS. No you cannot update the 7609 you have to use the internal MSFC.
The 6000s don't support external connections only internal (MSFC)
