We are using 3548 Switch. The way I confiure interfaces or show interfaces like that: conf t; interface fa0/#... or sh interafce one by one. Since I am trying to configure a group ports between 40 to 48, is there any way I can do a group like interface fa0/40-48 or show interface 0/40-48?
Thank you for help. Does interface range command work in 3524? I tried it but it does not work. Here are entry: switch(config)# interface range fastethernet 0/1 - 5. It shows: % invalid input detected at '^' marker. ^ points to range.
Most likely, but guessing here, it's an IOS version issue. The Interface Range Specification feature runs on all platforms that support Cisco IOS Release 12.0(7)XE, Release 12.1 E, and Release 12.1(5)T. . Here is a link that might also be helpful to you.
This is actually a pretty cool feature, i didn't even know it existed until I was looking for a solution to advertise a subnet (prefix in BGP talk), only if a certain condition existed. This is exactly what conditional advertisements does
