HSRP Design Question

HSRP question for anyone out there. Here is my dilemma. I have two facilities located about 600 feet from each other. Both facilities will have leased T1’s back to our main branch. My setup will be as follows in each location:

Cat 3550 -- > Cisco 2621XM w/ WIC-1DSU-T1 (Building 1)

Cat 3550 -- > Cisco 2621XM w/ WIC-1DSU-T1 (Building 2)

I will have a trunked line between the two Cat 3550’s. How would I setup HSRP so that if Building 1’s 2621XM goes down, Building 2’s will take over and vice versa. Also, is there a way to do loadbalancing between the two? Thanks in advance.

Re: HSRP Design Question

You can perform Load-sharing with HSRP by creating multiple standby groups:
