HSRP on Channelized E3

I have a WAN design with many E1 links connecting to a central site. I plan a Channelized E3 at the central location as an aggregate link.

For the purpose of redundancy, two E3 links are required. Can we deploy HSRP in this configuration, such that if one E3 fails, other takes up automatically?

I did HSRP for raw E1s successfully, but want to know if the same works for Channelized E3 links as well.

Using HSRP on point to point links is not a good design and does not make a lot of sense. Using dynamic routing protocols for your point to point link redundancy (and load sharing if desired) would be a much better way to go. HSRP should only be used on Multi-access segments where you have two routers connected, to provide clients redundancy in the case of router failure. The "track interface" command can be used in conjunction to track your E1 interfaces for function to assist in having HSRP fail over in the case of E1 failure to optimize outbound traffic flow.

Hope this helps,
