HSRP Question

Hello,

I am configuring HSRP on two 2500(A and B) routers. It seems to work as expected, interface goes down on router A and router B takes over. I have those two routers connected to a 1900 switch;they also has a virtual IP address configured as default gateway for the hosts.

When I ping from the hosts, I receive one or two replies and one or two destination unreachable/request timeout by the ethernet interface of one of the routers. Is there anything I am missing on the switch?

When I ping from the switch I do not have this problem.

Any suggestions

Re: HSRP Question

Please check tne errors on the interface of the port where you have your host connected. Also check the router port connceted on the switch.

use command " show interface fa x/y "

Check the speed and duplex and also try to hardcoding it. Try changing the cables as well.

HTH, Please rate if it does.
