I´m configuring two 6500 each with 2 sup1a pfc/msfc. I´m using vlan1 only for management data and have created other vlans for user data.
Is it necessary to include vlan1 in the standby command setup as well?
Thanks

If you want users from other VLANs to be able to access Management VLAN, yes you'll need to configure Interface VLAN 1 and configure HSRP on it as well

It is not necessary but if you are configuring the 2 default gateway of the switches one for the each switch vlan 1. Because if vlan 1 goes down on switch A. so whatever switches who was configured to use switch A as the default gateway can't be access from any other network , also if your management servers are on different vlan, for them all those switches will be assumed fail althought they will be working fine.
hope this helps
