Http access to a Catalyst 3524 using Tacacs+ authentication

Hello,

I configured Tacacs+ as the authentication method for accessing my Catalysts 3524 with Telnet. This works well, with CiscoSecure V2.4 as the Tacacs server. My Cat3524 are running version 12.0(5.4)WC(1).

I now try to use Tacacs+ as authentication method for the http access and have some troubles... does not work.

I found the following document on the CCC, describing the configurations of both an IOS equipment and the tacacs server :

http://www.cisco.com/warp/customer/480/http-2.html

I made what is described in this document... no way... this still does not work...

Does anybody already use TACACS+ as the authentication method for accessing the HTTP server of Catalyst 3524 switches.

Thanks in advance

Christophe

It appears that you're trying to use the Visual Switch Manager (built-in web gui image) for the switch?. If so, http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/473/59.html should help you out here.
