I am having trouble connecting to the console port of my cisco 2611 router using hyperterminal. I set it for 9600,8,1,none but I get nothing on the screen. My router lights are green which should indicate that everything is fine with the router. I tried a different pc and the same thing. I tried another 2611 as will as a 1900 switch and still had the same problem. Can anyone offer any solutions?

I guess you checked the cable? Try to set flow control to "none" and see if this works..

Hi,

Please , check the COM port u r connecting.

Some times a user selects a diffrnt port whr as physically he connects to diffrnt port.

Secondly, Try to use a diffrnt console cable.
