i have 1 56k/64k 4 wire dsu and 1 T1 dsu, can i connect them back to back?

otherwise, can i connect two token ring port with a crossover utp cable instead of a token ring hub?

The T1 CSU/DSU and the 4 wire 56K CSU/DSU can be connected back-to-back using a cross-over cable.. the 2 wire will NOT work. Refer to the following url for the correct pinouts.

The T1 and 56K/64K CSU/DSU units can be physically connected, but these two types of service use different methods of digital encapsulation toward the telephone company. This will not work even if you configure the T1 for only one channel. T1's can be used back to back by crossing pins 1&2 with 4&5, and 56K/64K units can be used back to back by crossing pins 1&2 with 7&8. Remember to set one end for internal timing.
