I have Cat 6509 with Sup720-3B

I know that there are 512Mb DRAM on both Sup720 and MSFC

Please let me know that when I use "show version" command

on both IOS and CatOS

which is the DRAM on "show version" belong to? (Sup or MSFC)

If you are running native:

straight show version would show you the RP's DRAM.

to see the SP do that following:

remote login switch

router-sp#show version

Notice the change in prompt "-sp" that means you are in SP and any show command you do there is an SP output, therefore the show version will show you the SP DRAM.

Antoher way to tell if you are in SP is the they system bootstrap version - it will show as 7.x or something.
