We have configurated three subnets in our internal network. Each with private ips. Besides we have an external network with public Ips. Our Cisco 2660 acts as gateway and router and we have defined several acl´s and a couple of routing rules.
Our internal subnets are connected by routers, in fact we have a multiport router. It´s ip address is 10.10.1.82 and the subnets are 10.10.3.0, 10.10.4.0 and 10.10.1.0, so the multiport route belows to the 10.10.1.0´s subnet.
The Cisco has 2 routing rules, among others, as follow:
ip route 10.10.3.0 255.255.255.0 10.10.1.82
ip route 10.10.4.0 255.255.255.0 10.10.1.82
Our main servers have routing rules addressing the subnets to their respective routers, by ip address.
According with this I want to know:
Do you consider necesary the 2 routing rules established in the CISCO about the subnet routing?
