IBM DB2 Connect to Cisco 2950T-24 Switch has some problem

I have some problemes with IBM DB2 connect to cisco 2950T-24 switch.

When users use the client to connect the IBM DB2 server,it's okay.

But when the user idle to long ,then user want to use the server again.

It will appear a error mesenger on the user monitor.If the client plug in D-Link 10/100 M Hub,it's okay. I have fixed both the cisco switch port and server's NIC speed,duplex. But this suitation is appear again.I have no idea to do it.

Excuse me,anybody has this question?

Hi David, Try to use the port fast in the port of the switch , some application no support time delay and if the port go down when the machine have a long time idle is possible that the NIC too, Port fast skip some step of the spannind tree and the time to up is perfomance.
