Identify Source of Broadcast Messages

Hi,

On one of our 3550-24 Switches, we are seeing increased Broadcast traffic, which is being forwarded out to the User PC.

Is there a way i can identify the Source MAC address of these Broadcasts using switch cli ?

I tried "show interface <id> mac-accounting" but it didn't give me any information.

I was thinking that "mac-accounting" might be disabled by default but i was unable to find the command for enabling it.

Is there any way i can achieve this ?

The best would be to use a sniffer software, to find out. You can download a trial version of a very good sniffer at www.agilent.com
