If my supervisor III does not have a NFFC, can I still route with an RSM installed in the 5505?

We have a Cat 5505 with a Sup III. I know it does not have a NFFC. Can I still configure an RSM in the chassis to route between VLANs?

Yes, you can use your RSM for routing between VLANs. NFFC is basically a pattern matching engine and does not run any routing protocol.

Just for clarification, you can't do MLS without NFFC but you should still be able to route as a router on a stick.
