Hi all,

I have IGX8420 running Rev. 8.2.56 and installed UFM-U ( AAA).

It was connected Router 7513(IOS 11.2) with Frame-relay.

When I upgrade Router IOS to 12.1(13) , UFM-U was not active(down state).

But when I downgrade Router IOS to 11.2 again, UFM-U did activated

Let me know What's problems ? IOS ? Revision ? or UFM-U Firmware ?

Please Help me.............

Thanks

Have nice day !

I am assuming that it was the port on the UFMU that was inactive.

The status of your UFMU port would depend on the lmi exchanges with the router. Make sure that the upgrade of the IOS did not cause any changes in this. Once you upgrade, check the portstats on the UFMU and see what could be causing the port failure.

The command is dspportstats 1

Thanks a lot .

I checked UFM-U status. but lmi was same as that of router(cisco)

and when I changed to ltef, UFM-U(rev AAA) port was fail as before.

But when I replaced UFM-U with other rev , AAL , UFM-U port was activated

Woops !

It may be that UFM-U(AAA) card had fault

I downgrade IOS to before ver, and I verify UFM-U(AAA) was normal

what relation was between router IOS and IGX Card firmware ?

It is difficult to say with out seeing what the dspportstats on the UFMU was showing at that time. Changing the encapsulation to frame relay ietf will not change the LMI type. It is strange that it started working with firmware AL and not AA. But again it is difficult to say what is wrong with out seeing the counters.
