INACTIVE: putting Fa0/1 in inactive state because...

access VLAN is remote SPAN VLAN.

I have several 2950s cored to redundant 6513s. Many VLANs configured across these 2950s and VLAN database resides on the 6513s. Using MST. The port in question shows inactive (amber) and is configured with a user VLAN(not VLAN 1). What am I doing wrong? Thanks
